Hi, I’m Nicole
I’m so glad you’re here!
Trying something new can be both exhilarating and intimidating—but if you’re here, there’s a reason. Whether you’re a preteen managing friendships, a teen navigating anxiety, a young adult transitioning into adulthood, a parent seeking connection and guidance, a partner looking for relationship support, or an adult striving for balance—I’m here for you.
When you step into my healing space, you’ll be met with warmth, humor, honesty, and maybe even a well-timed analogy. I believe in challenging you to become the best version of yourself, always at a pace that feels right for you. I take the time to truly know the people who sit across from me, empowering and encouraging them every step of the way. Together, we’ll build the skills you need to create the life you’ve always envisioned.

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.“

My Why
I remember my pre-teen and teenage years as a time filled with confusion and loneliness. It was these experiences that ultimately led me to pursue a career in social work. My goal has always been to be the therapist that teens need in order to truly thrive. In 2024, I founded Ostrowski Counseling & Family Solutions to offer a different path—one where teens, parents, and adults alike can find a space where they are seen, heard, and supported as they develop the tools and understanding necessary for growth.
Change can be difficult, and when I began my career in 2008, I quickly realized that what people need most is connection and a non-judgmental ear. This realization has been the cornerstone of my work, especially with teens who often feel overlooked. I have consistently strived to offer them the space to be heard and validated.
I believe therapy starts with building a meaningful connection—strong relationships form the foundation for trust, support, and growth. With the right tools and support, we can reach our fullest potential. I approach each individual as a unique person, using a strengths-based, client-focused lens, and always aim to support the whole person through guidance, empathy, and practical strategies. My motto is: "You captain this ship—I’m here to help you navigate."
With compassion, expertise, and a focus on actionable solutions, we work together to improve communication, build emotional resilience, and strengthen family bonds. Whether your teen is facing academic pressure, peer challenges, or self-esteem struggles, we offer a safe space where everyone—individually and as a family—can talk, understand, and grow.
Who I Support & How
Supporting Pre-teens & Teens:
Adolescence can often feel like an overwhelming time, with challenges ranging from school pressure and conflicts with parents to social expectations and the emotional turbulence of growing up. I work with young people who are dealing with heightened mental and behavioral health concerns or simply need assistance managing stress and finding balance. My goal is to help teens explore the underlying reasons behind their behaviors, guiding them toward greater self-awareness and meaningful connections.
Supporting Young adults & college students:
The transition from the teenage years to adulthood is filled with excitement, exploration, and sometimes, some pretty big life stressors and feelings! I support young adults and college students by providing emotional and mental health support to aid in coping with academic or employment pressures, social and relationship challenges, navigating major life transitions and developing life skills and a balanced lifestyle
Supporting Parents and Guardians:
I am passionate about partnering with parents and guardians to help them navigate the challenges and rewards of parenthood. My goal is to equip parents with the tools they need to better manage obstacles and enhance family dynamics. I assist parents in understanding and addressing their children's challenging behaviors, which often leave them feeling overwhelmed, confused, and disconnected. I provide emotional support, offer evidence-based parenting strategies, and help improve communication, stress management, and conflict resolution skills. Additionally, I focus on strengthening parent-child relationships and fostering a healthy family environment. I am also a certified Love & Logic instructor.
Supporting Adults:
Adulthood is a beautifully complex journey, often requiring support in areas like relationships, coping with grief, handling life transitions, or managing symptoms of anxiety and depression. I assist adults in navigating these challenges by offering emotional and psychological support, enhancing communication and relationship skills, fostering resilience, and promoting overall well-being. My approach includes stress management, coping strategies, personal growth, self-discovery, trauma healing, life transitions, decision-making guidance, and mental health education with valuable resources.
How I Got Here
I was born and raised in New Jersey, and I earned a Master's Degree in Social Work from Monmouth University. My professional journey began by supporting families whose loved ones were transitioning into long-term care nursing facilities and helping them navigate end-of-life decisions. As an adventure enthusiast, I decided to take a leap of faith and volunteered with AmeriCorps, dedicating a year of service to underserved communities across the United States. This journey brought me to St. Louis, where I eventually met and married my husband and started a family. I've called St. Louis home ever since.
In St. Louis, I've gained extensive experience working with a diverse range of individuals in various settings. I've supported individuals transitioning out of prison and reintegrating into society, assisted those with co-occurring disorders in managing severe mental health challenges, worked with the unhoused to help them find stability, and provided mental health therapy and behavioral interventions to children in schools, as well as support to parents and teachers. This next chapter is truly exciting for me, as it allows me to draw upon my years of experience and knowledge to offer the highest quality therapeutic care and interventions in a personalized way.
